And so the travel bug strikes...

After just about a year since I had left New Zealand and scurried over to Australia for a couple months, I find myself packing up to go on another adventure - this time with my best friends. Different from my previous adventures, this is the first thing I've done completely unrelated to school and (not gonna lie) I'm pretty excited for it. Not that the other travels were hindered by that fact, but it is slightly relieving knowing there aren't any scholarly expectations. I have been itching to jet off somewhere else even though its been less than a year...this might present problems for the rest of my life.

Quickly after starting to plan we realized that our original 4-6 week, 8 country trip was slightly over-ambitious...slightly. So, much to our disdain, we started cutting out countries with hopes that we will eventually go back someday (and it'll happen, somehow). So without further ado, our finalized 5 week itinerary is as follows:

Week 1: Ireland - Wicklow region, Cork, Dingle Peninsula (?)
Weeks 2&3: Italy - Rome, Florence, Parma, Venice, Amalfi Coast
Week 4: Scotland - Edinburgh, Highlands, Glasgow
Week 5: Ireland - Western Ireland (Connemara coast, Galway, Cliffs of Mohr), Giants Causeway (Northern Ireland) and Dublin.

Shockingly, we are already flying out Sunday night. CRAZY! I am hoping blogging for this will turn out as well as it did for NZ/OZ but we'll see how the internet is from place to place. We are going to be seeing a lot in short periods of time, so hopefully I will be able to blog a couple times a week. We'll see what happens!

Peace out America - see you in 5 weeks. :)
